SVN|KOVA Fort Myers expands specialties within Cape Coral market, announces hire of Jesse Marker, Bob O’Connor

 

Fort Myers, Fla. (DATE, 2018) – SVN|KOVA Fort Myers is pleased to announce the expansion of its services to the Cape Coral market with the hire of Jesse Marker, Esq. as associate advisor and Bob O’Connor as advisor, appointed to lead SVN|KOVA’s new Cape Coral Market Team.

The development of SVN|KOVA’s Cape Coral Market Team is a result of the growing demand for commercial real estate transactions in this region. As part of the Cape Coral team, Marker and O’Connor will focus on all commercial real estate in Cape Coral, including sales and leasing for industrial, retail, land and multifamily, as well as buyer and tenant representatives. The team will utilize SVN’s national platform of 200 offices and over 1,600 staff members to increase their reach and gain more exposure for their client’s listings.

Marker brings an extensive background in both law and real estate development to SVN|KOVA’s Cape Coral Market Team. Originally from Clermont, Florida, Marker comes from a family of both real estate brokers and developers. He graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, focusing on Real Property Development, and a minor in Finance. In 2017, Marker graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he gained a vast amount of knowledge in Real Property Disputes and Land Use. Previously, Marker worked as a commercial litigation attorney focusing primarily on real estate disputes and land use zoning issues.

As a Cape Coral-native, O’Connor brings a wealth of market expertise to the SVN|KOVA Cape Coral Market Team. Over the course of his career, O’Connor has had the opportunity to learn about commercial real estate, valuation services and zoning issues. O’Connor held an appraiser license from 2008-2010, where he analyzed properties and prepared appraisal reports. He is currently a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Cape Coral.

Marker’s understanding and experience of all legal aspects in the commercial real estate field, combined with O’Connor’s expansive knowledge of the region, will enable the SVN|KOVA Cape Coral Market Team to gain more exposure and provide higher return for their sellers. NAPLES, Fla. KOVA Companies’ newest team members, Gayle Erickson-Ash, Keith Marvelle and Karla Thurkettle bring a vast amount of experience and will further KOVA Companies’ commitment to growth and development in Florida.

Erickson-Ash joins KOVA Companies as a property manager for KOVA Property Management. Originally from Minneapolis, Erickson-Ash recently relocated to Southwest Florida from Colorado. She brings over 28 years of experience in commercial real estate in both property management and construction management for office, retail, industrial and medical properties. She received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Phoenix in Business Management, holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation and is also a LEED Green Associate. Erickson-Ash received the BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) TOBY award in 2005 for “Building of the Year” for Corporate Facility Management Excellence in the local, regional and international levels. Erickson-Ash brings her expertise to KOVA Companies to facilitate the growth of KOVA Property Management in Lee County and play an intricate role in the development of SVN® | KOVA Property Management in Sarasota.

Marvelle is providing management to KOVA Companies as manager of KOVA Facilities. Marvelle relocated to Naples 16 years ago from Rhode Island, bringing an avid fascination for construction and real estate, extensive background in residential remodels, and knowledge in both real estate sales and project management. Marvelle will assist the Property Management team to assure all contracted properties managed by KOVA Companies are well maintained and that all required and requested services are fulfilled. Marvelle will also oversee the facilities staff and all construction projects. Marvelle is thrilled to have the opportunity to grow KOVA Facilities as KOVA Property Management expands throughout the state.

Thurkettle is a Florida Licensed CAM who has joined the KOVA Companies team as a property manager for KOVA Property Management. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Thurkettle earned her Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University in 1994. After almost 10 years working as a credit-buyer and analyst, Thurkettle relocated to Florida in 2003. Prior to joining KOVA Companies, Thurkettle was a property manager for one of Southwest Florida’s largest residential management firms, where she managed a portfolio of 14 condominiums, HOA’s and a marina, totaling 1,136 doors. Thurkettle uses her proficiency in management and immense knowledge of financial statements and recommendations as she manages a growing portfolio of over 42,000 square feet of commercial property and 11 condominium associations in Naples.

With the increase of demand, SVN|KOVA Fort Myers welcomes two new hires, Tiffany Luongo and Martinn Winters, MAI.

Luongo has completed hundreds of real estate transactions totaling over $100 million, and her expertise in office leasing led her to lease more than 67,000 square feet of office space in the last two years alone. Martinn Winters

Winters is welcomed to the SVN|KOVA Fort Myers team to establish valuation advisory services as certified general appraiser and senior advisor. Winters holds an Master of Business Administration in International Business from George Washington University and over an extensive career has gained expertise in investment advisory, commercial real estate valuations, executing large commercial transactions for institutional clients, property management, management consulting, commercial collections, and commercial litigation testimony. Winters will take the lead in the SVN|KOVA Fort Myers valuation division, which is the first of its kind within the SVN network, and will provide additional services to complement the full range of commercial real estate offerings to SVN | KOVA Fort Myers’ clients. Winters began his real estate career in 1987 after serving 12 years in the banking industry. In 2002 Winters advanced his career as he added appraisals to his list of services and achieved his MAI designation in 2012. Winters is thrilled to embark on his journey with SVN|KOVA Fort Myers and assist in the growth of the company and services it offers.
